Welcome to Liverpool bambis

We are a team of peer supporters who offer breastfeeding support and information to pregnant women, breastfeeding mums and their families.

BAMBIS — Where Community Comes Alive

Stay & Play for Breastfeeding Mums is a friendly, supportive group designed especially for mums who are breastfeeding and their little ones. The sessions give babies the chance to play, learn and explore in a safe environment, while mums can relax, share experiences and build friendships with others on the same journey.

Run in partnership with Liverpool’s Children’s Centres, these sessions also provide access to practical breastfeeding support in a relaxed setting. Whether you’re looking for advice, encouragement, or simply a chance to connect with other mums, Stay & Play offers the perfect balance of play for your child and support for you.

Why peer-support?

Peer supporters are mums who, typically, have breastfed their own babies and received formal training in breastfeeding peer support.

We follow Unicef and World Health Organisation guidelines.

A friendly and accessible service

We aim to provide a friendly and accessible mum-to-mum service, where women get valuable breastfeeding support from other local women, when and where they want it. We work in Liverpool Women's Hospital, in the community and across our children's centres.
